The Porsche Centre in Lagos is
strategically positioning some models of the Panamera in Nigeria to
raise the brand’s profile and increase its market share.
It says, for instance, the Gran Turismo
model comes with extensive standard features and stands out through
elegant styling combining with a significantly expanded range of
standard equipment.
The firm also says two models with
powerful six-cylinder engines will be offered: the Panamera Edition and
Panamera 4 Edition both come with an engine that delivers 310 hp.
“The Panamera 4 Edition features active
all-wheel drive with an electronically controlled, map-controlled
multi-plate clutch (Porsche Traction Management),” it states.
The auto firm also notes that the
Porsche’s four door sports cars play an important role in the brand’s
profitable growth and help to safeguard the financial foundation for
investments in future generations of sports cars.
The Panamera has been one of the key
pillars of success since its premiere in 2009, with a total of 24,864
units of the model delivered in 2014 alone.
The exterior of the Panamera Edition, for
instance is said to be marked by additional subtle design tones,
including high-glossy black trim strips on the side windows and door
handles (if Porsche Entry & Drive is chosen as an optional feature)
in the same colour.
Extensive technical features also
included in the Panamera Edition are Porsche Active Suspension
Management, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, Park
Assist (front and rear) including reversing camera and Power Steering
Plus.
